OUR ROOTS

The Tanzanian economy and that of greater East Africa has had an unprecedented growth rate over the last 20 years due to political stability, market liberalization and transparency. With the onset of oil discoveries recently, the economies of East Africa are in the process of rapid growth for atleast the next three decades. In any economy, one of the fundamental pillars is the free and fast movement of goods and services in the market. This is delivered through the transportation sector and in particular, the road transportation sector as the rail services in most of Africa is still very under-developed. The faster these goods and services move, the greater the growth of the economy. As a result of this continued growth in the last decade, the market developed the need for safe, reliable, affordable and high quality road transportation equipment

ESTABLISHMENT

Established in mid 2005 as a semi-trailer manufacturing company, Simba Trailers focused its efforts to capture this market and fulfill the need of the transportation sectors of East and Central Africa.

Simba Trailers has grown to manufacture an annual output of 450 complete units per year and in 2010 invested heavily in a tanker manufacturing facility.

GAINING FOOTHOLD

Beginning with the manufacturing of semi trailers, Simba Trailers has since expanded to manufacture lowbed trailers, Skeleton trailers, drawbar trailers and fuel tankers. Simba Trailers also manufactures custom trailers to meet the exact needs of its clients, including copper carrying Tankers, Acid Tankers and tipping trailers

Having already produced well over 4000 trailers for the East African community, Simba Trailers is at the forefront of this market. Continuously focusing on developing new products to meet the demands of the growing transportation sector in greater East Africa for the next decade.

SIMBA TRAILERS EXPANSIONS

As a result of Simba trailers continuous success, it has further extended its business to become the agent for SINOTRUK and their HOWO line of vehicles in Tanzania. Simba Trailers provides unbeatable after sales service for these vehicles in addition to having an on-site spare shop for all parts required.

Simba Trailers now boasts a 4500 square metre state-of-the-art workshop on Nelson Mandela expressway, Simba Trailer Manufacturers Limited continues to grow, increasing technology and production capability every year.
